Ebb & Flow Group, the Hospitality Company Behind Cult Favourites Casa Vostra, Chin Mee Chin and Temper Wine Room & Lounge, Is Now Mission Group
Mission Group’s new structure reflects the company’s ambitions for a future beyond hospitality, bringing its restaurant portfolio under Mission Hospitality and technology operations under Mission Systems.
Singapore, 1 October 2026 — Singapore-based hospitality company Ebb & Flow Group is now Mission Group, marking the next phase of the company’s evolution as it expands its hospitality portfolio under Mission Hospitality and establishes Mission Systems (opens in a new tab), a new technology business focused on enterprise software and artificial intelligence.
The new group structure reflects how the business has evolved beyond its origins as a restaurant operator. While hospitality remains a core part of Mission Group, technology has increasingly become a second area of focus, following more than three years of building software internally to address the operational challenges encountered across its restaurants.
“We started building technology because we were trying to solve very real problems within our own businesses,” said Philipp Hölke, Co-founder and CTO of Mission Group. “Over time, it became clear that many of these challenges are not unique to restaurants. Businesses across industries deal with fragmented systems, repetitive administrative work and teams spending too much time coordinating processes that technology should be able to handle.”
“Mission Group gives us the structure to pursue both opportunities properly: continuing to build distinctive hospitality businesses through Mission Hospitality, while developing Mission Systems (opens in a new tab) into a technology business that can serve companies well beyond our own group.”
Mission Hospitality: A New Name, the Same Dedication to Hospitality
Founded in 2018 as Ebb & Flow Group, the business has grown from a small independent player into a multi-concept hospitality group spanning Michelin-starred dining, cult-favourite restaurants, award-winning wine-led concepts and a century-old heritage bakery.
“The name Mission reflects the shared purpose that unites us, even as each of our brands retains its own distinct identity,” said Lim Kian Chun, Co-founder and CEO of Mission Group. “Today, we are a team of over 300 people working across different concepts, disciplines and experiences, but we are all driven by the same ambition: to create experiences that genuinely matter to people. For us, that begins with caring deeply for our guests, empowering our people to do their best work, and constantly pushing ourselves to be better at what we do.”
As Mission Hospitality enters its next phase of growth, it will continue to invest in its people, develop new concepts and refine the experiences across its portfolio, while preserving the individuality that has made each of its brands distinctive.
Mission Systems: Technology Built in the Real World
Led by Co-Founder and CTO Philipp Hölke, the technology division is the result of three years of research and development, during which the team has built and refined proprietary autonomous systems, tools and enterprise software for real-world operating businesses, including those in the food and hospitality industry.
“The best technology in business should almost disappear into the background,” said Hölke. “It should fit naturally into how teams work, remove friction rather than create more of it, and make a complex business feel simpler to run. If we get that right, the technology itself should never be the thing people notice — they should simply feel that the experience works.”
Mission Group: The World is Ours to Make
The move from Ebb & Flow Group to Mission Group formalises a structure that reflects the company the founders intend to build over the long term.
Mission Hospitality will continue to create and operate hospitality businesses, while Mission Systems (opens in a new tab) develops enterprise technology for businesses both within and outside the hospitality sector. Mission Group will sit above both as the parent company, providing a shared foundation for investment, talent and long-term growth.
“Ebb & Flow was the right name for the company we started in 2018,” said Lim. “Mission reflects the company we are building today. We still believe deeply in hospitality, but our ambitions are broader now. What connects the businesses is a desire to build things that solve real problems, work in the real world and are made to last.”
